Statute of Rhuddlan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Read this Quoted from above: The plaque on the side of the building reads: 'This Fragment is the remains of the building where Edward I held his Parliament A.D. 1283. in which was passed the Statute of Rhuddlan securing to the Principality of Wales its judicial rights and independence.' The Statute of Rhuddlan was created in 1284 after the conquest of Wales by the English King Edward I. After the defeat of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd (Llywelyn the Last) in 1282, Wales was incorporated into England and Edward set about pacifying the new territory. The Statute was an important and influential document which introduced the following measures: it divided north Wales into the counties of Anglesey, Merioneth, and Caernarfon, introduced the English common law system, and allowed the king to appoint royal officials such as sheriffs, coroners, and bailiffs. Some Welsh customs were allowed to remain, such as the specifics of inheritance, and the Marcher Lords retained most of their independence, as they had prior to the conquest. The Statute remained in effect until Henry VIII's Act of Union in 1536. Source: http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Statute_of_Rhuddlan

REMEMBER PALM SUNDAY START OF WELSH EASTER RISING 1282, potential for national rallies and parades in Hawarden and Aberystwith. While thinking on that see further information below on the Statue of Rhuddlun 3 Mawrth 1284, do you want to commemorate that one? Why not, if you intend to Vote Yes in the 'More Powers' for WAG after all Welsh Traitors supported the Rhuddlun Parliament too, not much difference between the two really! Why? well it works something like this, Owain Gwynedd had began many good and sound Socio - Economic Reforms in his Fuedal State of Gwynedd but all along the way he was resisted by 'Traditionalist' chiefs thinking of themselves. Same in 1283 as it became more than obvious that some 'Shock and Awe' from Edward I was going to bring down the failing state of Gwynedd, the old chiefs began to under mine the last stand, final struggle by 1283 they were helping to hunt down the patriotic partisans fighting along side Dafydd III. After which with the Partisans Resistence crushed the 'Old Chiefs' made their 'Vichy Deal' with Edward I and pleaded for they to live in their 'Old Ways. Edward I was only too glad to do this because, it put them at an economic disadvantage and the Castle Borough settler at a great economic advantage in fact, but it prepared the way for the Glyndwr Rising over 100 years later. Whilst Edward I and his Lords not only held the purse strings they also held political power. I do not myself see any difference between the treacherous Welsh 'Vichy Chiefs' supporting the English in 1283 and Quisling Parliament at Rhuddlun in 1284 and the 'Vichy A.M's' seeking to agrandise themselves and further their own interests in a 'Pretend Parliament' in Bae Caerdydd. So Vote No or ABSTAIN TO ABOLISH THE ASSEMBLY OF APPEASEMENT WITH ENGLISH IMPERIALISM AND CONTINUED NEO COLONIAISM as supported by WAG, example The Engliish Drama Colony down in BAE BRADWYR!
IMPORTANT:
Not least keep in mind that Edward I celebrated the Conquest of Wales in 1284 with a display of stolen Welsh Royal Treasures at Westminster Cathedral, do well for Welsh Traitors attending this wedding to remember this historical fact and I guess Patriots be minded that most Welsh People are ignorent of this, Probably would not give a 'Taffy Toss' anyway?
