THE LAST INVASION, GARREG WASTED, ABERGWUAN 1797.

Royal Oak Pub, here the French signed a surrender, too bad there were no serious Welsh Republicans about as Ireland had the Republican United Irishmen. History might have been so different, those Welsh who were of a Republican mind were very much Cambro - Brit Republicans seeking a 'British Republic' and that includes Iolo Morgannwg. Unfortunately we cannot change history unless we do so creatively via an 'Alternative History' as in:

Professor Ralph Griffiths writting in History today, as I had already stated though the 'Medieval Episodes' very lacking but like he like I though the later episodes quite good. The entire period of the 'sixties' in this story of Cymru/Wales dwelled on the Drowning of Capel Celyn but made no mention that it kicked off an 'Armed Revolt' in Cymru/Wales. Certainly no mention of Patriots who risked all in such struggle in their imprisonment and death. What we got was  the beginnings of Plant Crachach (who become the later Crach Newydd) in a 'Language Struggle' largelly pulling down sign posts and climbing up Television Masts as a Welsh Version of American Black Civil Rights or Northern Irish Catholic Civil Rights. But the largelly Working Class Revolutionary Action and 'Armed Adfywiad, much same as the Black Panthers, American Indian Movement and IRA or ETA as articulated in above books and my blog got no mention. Though that's not true, whilst discussing the Investiture of 1969 such was limited to just this ''A Bomb Plot'' was mentioned, this rather middle class 'Coffee Book' version of a post Devolution  is an Accepted Crachach plus Devolution Dilettant Welsh History was far from 'transparent'. It was all the samec old stuff in a posher remix, just quite 'Cambro - Brit', yes! CULTURE CYMRU and SPORT WALES, all of which I deal with in:

BBC News - Welsh language campaigner Hywel Teifi Edwards dies ...WHAT'S UP IN CENEDL CYMRU RYDD - THAT CAMBRIAN DEV.

Please pay attention now, it is the Nationalist father Hywel Teifi Edwards you need to listen to not the sell out 'Big BBC Brit' son Huw Edwards (what went wrong?). So to my review of the BBC Huw Edwards Version of Welsh History. Essentially no more than an updated version of 'Aros Mae' without bite of 'The Dragion Has Two Tounges' and certainly no attempt at some 'Radical Retro Revisionism'. All made 'Politically Correct' and 'Cultural Cleaned' history to promote 'TY WAG' and justify the existence of 'Y Crachach Newydd'. The former being a Quisling 'Puppet Government' - An Assembly of Appeasement with English Imperialism and the latter nought but in reality England's 'Client Tribe' in Cymru/Wales. Some say already the 'Secret Government' via 'Y Gorsedd' etc, a kind of but non 'racist' Cymraeg Version of the Afrikaner 'Broederbund:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrikaner_Broederbond
For the unrelated company, see Brøderbund. ... British and the English language, or to redeem the Afrikaners after their defeat in the Second Anglo-Boer War?

Though note: I cannot stress enough that 'Y Crachach' are far removed from the 'Racist Fascisim' of the 'Afrikaner Broedrbund' but it is well worth noting that the 'Cultural Nationalist' Wales of Lloyd George and Cymru Fydd were to be keen supporters of the Boers in the fight against 'British Imperialism'. But not so, oddly the more Welsh Nationalist Liberal later Plaid Cymru member Beria Gwynfe Evans who was at the time a 'Liberal Imperialist'.

Same for Liberals and Socialists of those times, their sentiments were Anti - British Imperialism though there was a strong belief in Cymru/Wales of these times that 'Y Cymry' were very similar to the Boers in areas of Language and Religion under unsympathetic British Rule.

However, it is still of interest to see similarities in ways, any Minority Nationalist  'Class Group' will advance their 'Socio - Political Status and Position. I am of course selecting a very contraversial area not least concerning use of media as example one of the aims of 'AB' was to use modern media as early cinema to ressurect and sustain Afrikaner Nationalism, restore such and return it to power over and above and to get rid of British Rule. Thus:

Highlights how the Broederbond came to target and capture media to advance their cause, in first place via Newspapers but also early cinema. They bought up urban cinemas and made them over to dispossed Boer Farmers and unemployed Afrikaners to run increasingly showing pro - Boer films, to advance 'Afrikaner' political struggle to eventually over turn their Conquest and Economic Colonisation (Gold and Diamonds, what the hell do you think the Boer Was about, defending and freeing the natives?) that had come with British Post Boer War rule. This would lead to the making films that were promoting of Afrikaner Nationalism and seeking of Political Power.

One thing for sure, if you then take a look at the short tribute to David de Lange, at first you may consider it is just all about more promotion of Afrikaner Culture. You will see similarities with Cymru, even today as far as Cultural Nationalism and Cymric Folk Nationalism is concerned.

However, go on to the second and third film, there also read up on David de Lange and I would hope that he and his 'Socialist Sentiments' would be more inspirational to our radical struggles, not least to the recently converted Plaid Cymru 'New Left' (40 years too late perhaps?) Leanne Wood their leader I am sure would but would not be able to advance such sentiments further in Welsh Media unless she 'Liberated' her mind from 'Crachach Views of Welsh History' and from their domination of Welsh TV Media and instead stood up for English Language National TV Service and condemned the BBC WEST BRIT DRAMA VILLAGE IN BAE CAERDYDD as
